Great House!! Guest: Taj (Atlanta) Date of Stay: 10/02/11 Review Submitted: 11/02/11 This was my 3rd trip to Costa Rica, specifically to Jaco Beach so I knew exactly what I was looking for. I spoke with owner Angelo multiple times and told him that our group was looking for a place that offered major relaxation, private pool, hot tub, bar area, and large bedrooms that had attached bath and were similar in size. Luckily, not only did Angelo and I hit it off but his home offered everything on my list with large over-sized rooms with king beds and attached baths, onsite security guard Umberto and the wonderful house maids/cooks. The house was fully furnished and loaded with accessories. I thought that the large relaxing fountain in foyer/front entrance of the house was really neat and outside the mountain views all the way to the pacific were spectacular. We got everything I had asked for and then some! Hope to be back at the house soon!!!

Stein Family Reunion Guest: Alan S. Date of Stay: 07/01/11 Review Submitted: 07/12/11 This is an amazing villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Amenities were top notch, the facilities exceptionally well maintained and the views and proximity to the zip lines, the national parks, and beaches are beyond description. The best part, believe it or not, was the great care by the house keeping staff, Umberto, Carla, and Lilly. They were so responsive and terrific, dedicated people who kept the place pristine. They were always there to cater to your every need. Umberto even took us on a trip to a local waterfall, just off the property that was one of our adventures that we will cherish. If you have a large group, this is THE place to stay.

Amazing Trip Guest: countyline (los angeles, ca) Date of Stay: 12/26/09 Review Submitted: 01/26/10 I stayed at Villa Cielo for 8 days with my family and a couple friends over new years 2010 and had a completely enjoyable experience. The house itself is beautiful, the staff is attentive, nice and competent, the amenities (pool, internet, cable, dvd) all worked well, view of ranches and ocean below was something I looked forward to seeing each morning. I chose to hire the Villa's chef (ernesto), very cool guy and very good chef (gourmet meals 3x/day) and the villa's driver (hernan) who is a complete gentleman, hardworker and a fountain of knowledge about costa rica. Dollar for dollar, day for day, best vacation experience I've had.

Most Beautiful Views in Hermosa! Guest: surfbuddy (Ocean City, NJ) Date of Stay: 11/02/09 Review Submitted: 11/16/09 This house was so much fun!! The kids were thrilled to find monkeys, toucans, iguanas and frogs everyday on the property. They collected coconuts and drank the fresh milk. Definitely more fun then staying on the beach. We drove 5 min. down the hill to go to the beach and surf. There are a few nice restaurants right down the road. Jungle cafe had the best fresh tuna! We watched everyone surf from the Backyard Restaurant. The housekeeper, Esperenza, was so friendly and sweet and the kids really enjoyed trying to speak Spanish to her. We enjoyed the outdoor living every night with a beautiful pool and bar area. We shared the house with a few families and there was plenty of privacy and space. We enjoyed our stay there, felt safe, and would recommend it to families or groups that want to experience more of Costa Rica then just the beach.

Family Christmas 2011 Guest: Family Trip (Austin, Texas ) Date of Stay: 12/21/10 Review Submitted: 01/26/11 My family recently stayed at the Villa during the Christmas holidays. We arrived in San Jose late at night and Angelo made sure our driver was waiting for us. We couldn't find out driver so I called Angelo. He called me back within 5 minutes - I believe it was 2am his time. The driver was there we just couldn't find him. He stayed on the phone with me until we found the driver. He helped make arrangements for us at Bouganvilla Hotel in San Jose and called them to let them know about our late arrival. We hired the driver to take us to the villa. When we arrived the staff had already purchased items we had requested. The pictures on Homeaway do not do the Villa justice. The views are amazing, the rooms are large and the staff is very nice. Gloria and the staff cooked our dinners. They were wonderful. Her empanadas were so yummy. We hired a Chef on Christmas Eve. We enjoyed our entire stay at the Villa. We used King Tours for zip lining and Manual Antonio. Every morning we saw a couple of monkeys in the trees but the most amazing was on the last day there was around 6-7 monkeys jumping from tree to tree around the Villa. It gave me chills. Overall the experience was incredible and I would go back. There was 13 of us that went on this family trip. I would go back with my family and stay again. I highly recommend this Villa. I cannot say enough good things about the service and Angelo (the owner) was very attentive when I had a question or concern. My only recommendation is to know some spanish.

Heaven is the Perfect Name! Guest: cshcdi (Dallas, TX) Date of Stay: 06/10/10 Review Submitted: 06/21/10 Words cannot express how wonderful this place is; the location, the house, the pool but especially the staff. We hired the chef and private driver that the owner recommended. We have a family of 9 adults, that have been very spoiled for our one week a year that we live like the "rich and famous". Over the past 10 yrs, we have enjoyed 10 different Villas in the Carribean, Mexico, Jamaica and this was by far our favorite place, (and we have stayed at some amazing places) The chef, Ernesto, was incredible. The views from every room was spectacular. All the bedrooms were of equal excellence, so no fighting over the best room! The home, pool and garden were impeccably clean. The service that was provided was over the top, always working, always smiling! On the few days it rained, there is a covered area on the side of the villa that has incredible views. We would take our books and chill out enjoying the rain. When we first got there, we immediately went upstairs to check out the veranda and views. It looked like the rolling hills of Ireland. Everything was so lush and green. We saw Tucans, monkeys, several birds and geckos on the property. There is a excellent zipline, and ATV company and great golf was only 10 minutes from the Villa. We went whitewater rafting only an hour away in MA. Jaco is only 10 minutes if you want to shop or eat out (with a chef like Ernesto, we never ate out!) The owner even has Skpe so you don't have to pay for outrageous phone calls. This was a dream place and a dream vacation, one we will never forget! I give the Villa, staff, and location five stars!
